...and from the National Capital Presbytery

At the GA 217, the National Capital Presbytery will be representated by four elder-commissioners and four pastors. The elders are Elizabeth Jernigan of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington; Shirley Logan of Northeastern Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC; Paul Wackerbarth of Knox Presbyterian Church; and myself.

The pastor-commissioners are the Rev. Dr. David Ensign of Clarendon Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Donna Marsh (at-large), the Rev. Ann Philbrick (specialized), and the Rev. Eunice Yang of Adelphi Presbyterian Church .

In addition, the general presbyter, the Rev. Dr. Wilson Gunn, and the stated clerk/treasurer, the Rev. Dick McFail, will also be there for the National Capital Presbytery.

If you've ever corresponded with Dick, his email signature carries an interesting quote from St. Teresa of Avila: ""The Lord walks among the pots and pans.." As a pot, among the 534 pots and pans attending the GA 217, I take great comfort in that quote.(Of the 534 pots and pans, half are elders and half are pastors).
